Breed Milestones
AKC Champions of Record Many Sussex Spaniels have earned the AKC title of Champion. The first post-revival Sussex Champion was Ch. Sedora Galega (pictured below). Since that time nearly 400 Sussex have earned the right to place the coveted Ch before their names. View a listing of Sussex (1970—present) with AKC Conformation Championship Titles.
AKC Hunting Titles It wasn’t until the spring of 2003 that the first Master Hunter title was earned by a Sussex. The honor goes to Ch. Sundowners Swing that Music, MH, CGC aka Satch. Since then, four more Sussex have become Master Hunters. Sussex have been used to hunt for both feather and fur.View a listing of other accomplished Sussex with AKC Hunt Test Titles.
American Spaniel Club Working Dog & WD Excellent Certificates Twelve Sussex have earned the ASC Working Dog or WD Excellent Certificate. AKC Obedience Titles Although
considered moderately challenging to train for the
obedience ring, several Sussex and their patient handlers have mastered
the tasks required. The first UD
titled Sussex was Resolute
Hudson of Askonandy, UD aka Hudson. Shown below is Sundowners Thyme for

AKC Rally Titles Rally is a great sport to begin with if you want to earn a title on your Sussex. It's fun for both owners and the dogs.This photo is of Ch Homespun Lindsey-Wooley, RN, CD.
AKC Agility Titles Ch Remedi’s Amethyst, OA, OAJ pictured below was the first Sussex to earn an agility title. Tootsie earned that title back in 2001. In the Spring of 2010, Stonecroft Montford, MX, AJX, OF, RE became the first Sussex to earn an Excellent-level title. Sussex thoroughly enjoy the fast pace of agility and since then many Sussex have earned AKC Agility Titles.
AKC Tracking Titles Sussex
have excellent scenting and tracking abilities, and several Sussex over
the
years have earned an AKC
Tracking Title. Ch Castles Gift of the Wizard, TDX
(pictured below) became
the first Sussex to earn the TDX title in the fall of 2009.

Sussex Ambassador The
Sussex Spaniel Club recognizes dogs that have done out standing

Clussexx Three D Grinchy Glee "Stump" was crowned Best in Show winner
at the 133rd Westminster Kennel Club Show. At the prime age of 10, he
is the oldest winner in the history of Westminster. At this show he
beat out nearly 2,500 dogs in 170 breeds and varieties to become the
Nation's top dog. Stump is the first and only Sussex thus far to win
this coveted title.
