Rescue
Thankfully, Sussex are infrequently found in rescue situations, but when they are, Sussex have the same needs for immediate
intervention and care as do their more popular canine counterparts.
These costly interventions include properly identifying a given dog as a
Sussex; locating the owner if a Sussex was found as opposed to surrendered;
addressing urgent medical needs; evaluating the individual dog’s socialization
skills; and, rehabilitation and possible re-homing. All of this is
skillfully handled by our Rescue Coordinator, Diane Chase (860-564-3043).
Members are asked to please consider a donation to Sussex
Rescue to support this important SSCA core mission.
