The Sussex Spaniel Club of America enters our 45th year.
Our club continues to grow in membership numbers and with that a new influx of skills and talents and a commitment for the betterment of our Little Brown Dogs.

My sincere thanks to all the Committee Chairs and Committee members who volunteer with great commitment to our club and to our breed. Our committees are : Archive, Awards, Breeder Education, Breeder Referral, Field/Hunt, Health, Judges Education, Judges Selection, Membership/Outreach, Performance, Public Education, Purebred Preservation Bank, Rescue, Scentinel, Store and Website. I encourage members to get involved, we welcome new ideas and perspectives.

A special thanks to those who jumped in to help out when sudden needs arose.

2025 proved to be a great year in successful breedings. Hopefully 2026 will bring many happy outcomes and hopefully new members will get involved in breeding which is paramount for the continuation of our special, unique breed.

It’s time to start making plans to attend our 2026 SSCA National Specialty, October 29 – November 1.
It will be held at the Fort Wayne Coliseum in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
The Superintendent is BaRay Dog Shows.
The Sporting Dog Show will be held on Saturday. There will be a total of 5 shows with many opportunities for points and majors for dogs and bitches, and getting the special Sussex people together for another great reunion.
